1. Who we are
Rivvalue Inc. is a Montreal-based company providing Voice of Client consulting and the VOÏA software platform.

We are designated as the Privacy Officer under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Loi 25) and serve as the contact point for GDPR-related requests where applicable.
2. What information we collect
We collect personal information you provide directly — for example, when you fill out a contact form, request information, subscribe to our insights, or engage us for services. This typically includes: Name, job title, and company, Email address and phone number, Content of messages you send us. Information you share during commercial discussions.
We also automatically collect technical data when you visit rivvalue.com: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring URL, and approximate location derived from your IP. This is collected via standard server logs and analytics tools.
We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health, ethnicity, or biometric data) through rivvalue.com.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
Respond to inquiries and provide the services you request
Send you commercial communications you have consented to (you can unsubscribe at any time)
Operate, secure, and improve rivvalue.com
Comply with our legal obligations
We rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for marketing), performance of a contract (for services you engage us for), legitimate interests (for site security and improvement), and legal obligation (where the law requires it).
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only when necessary:
Service providers who help us operate rivvalue.com and our business (hosting, email, analytics, CRM). They are contractually required to protect your information.
Professional advisors (legal, accounting) when needed.
Authorities when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

rivvalue.com uses cookies and similar technologies for site functionality and analytics (Google Analytics). You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling them will affect some site features.
6. Where your information is stored
Our corporate servers and primary service providers are located in Canada. Some service providers (for example, analytics) may process data in the United States or other countries. In those cases, we rely on contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and, for transfers outside Quebec, conduct privacy impact assessments as required by Loi 25.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law (for example, tax records). Contact data for inactive prospects is deleted or anonymized after a reasonable period.
8. How we protect it
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted administrative access — to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take our obligations seriously.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions)
Withdraw consent to marketing at any time
Port your information in a structured, commonly used format (Quebec, EU/UK)
Object to certain processing (EU/UK)

No automated decisions. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
10. Children
rivvalue.com is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we will notify you directly when we have your contact details.
